TapeTrack Lite Retrieve Media from Off-site

Selecting Retrieve Media from offsite, allows the user to update the TapeTrack Server with requested volumes, this process will move the volumes to the selected site, show your offiste providor the actual tapes you require. The program will also create a consignment for your requested volumes, giving you the ability to track the progress of the shipment. During the process of creating the consignment, you will be asked to request your service level.
- Run TapeTrack Lite
- Click to highlight Retrieve Media from Off-site, then click Next.
- Enter a log file location, then click Next.
- Enter your user-id and password, then click Ok.
The customer selection window above will only be displayed if the user has access to multiple customers within the TapeTrack Framework Server data base. If required select the customer or server you require, then click Next.
Select the media type of the required system to see a list of the available volumes. Users that only have access to a single media type won't see this window, you will proceed directly to delivery location. Click Next.
Select the location you would like this specific request for volumes delivered to. Click Next.
Double click on a volume to select it. A volume selected will have a star next to it. As in the image above.
If a volume from another media type is required, use the back button twice to move back to Media Type selection. Select another media type, then click next. Repeat the above process for selecting volumes. Click Next.
Fill in all fields so your offsite provider can act on the creation of the consignment. Click Next.
From the TapeTrack Lite Complete window, users can view or print the transaction log.
- View Log File. Opens the log file to view onscreen.
- Print Log File. Prints the log file to your default printer.
Click Finish to close TapeTrack Lite.
